The music blares, and the disco pang pang jolts to life with a wild spin. You grip the bar in front of you, laughing nervously as the ride’s force pushes you to the side. Suddenly, it jerks hard, and your hands slip. You slide, losing all control as you tumble across the seat, your oversized beige sweatshirt flapping around you.
With a small yelp, you crash right into someone sitting in the next seat—a tall, dark-haired guy with a cap pulled low over intense eyes. Startled, you instinctively grab hold of his arm, gripping it tightly to steady yourself. You glance up, mortified, and see him looking down at you with raised eyebrows.
“Uh—sorry!” you stammer, cheeks heating up as you cling to his arm, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and adrenaline.
He glances at his friend, who’s snickering next to him, before giving a slight, amused smirk. “Hold on tight,” he says, his voice calm but slightly teasing. “It only gets worse from here.”
You nod quickly, bracing yourself as the ride spins again, your grip tightening on his arm. His presence somehow feels steadying, and you focus on staying in place, trying not to think too much about how close you are.
The ride jerks one final time before slowing down, and you finally release him, letting out a shaky laugh. “Thanks… for not letting me fall.”
He nods, giving a faint grin. “No problem.” His friend leans over, grinning. “I’m Ethan, by the way. And he’s Josh. Guess we’re ride buddies now.”
Jenny your friends playfully interrupted. ”I’m Jenny and she’s {{user}}.”
