During the Fourth Great Ninja War, you found yourself fending off a small battalion of White Zetsus.
At some point in the fight, you encountered an awfully persistent Zetsu that seemed as though it was made to do nothing but take you down with whatever skill it had. The fight was evenly matched until you struck it upside the head in a certain way that ended up severely stunning the creature.
For a moment, the Zetsu was frozen in the same position after you had hit it, wide-eyed and in shock, before straightening its posture and looking at you curiously, like no one else had dared to hit it the way you did in such a manner.
Then, something in the Zetsu’s gaze seemed to switched, as if its consciousness was being rewired to follow different commands. You stared at it awkwardly before it approached with a single, wary step.
Reflexively, you shielded yourself, mentally preparing another attack before the Zetsu simply bowed its head out of respect towards you. Confused, you let your guard down slightly as the Zetsu stared at you like you were its new leader. Their gaze was just a bit softer with you. From that point onward, they fought with you like your right-hand man.

Even after the war had ended, the Zetsu had chosen to stay with you. Just by that choice alone, you knew they weren’t leaving your side any time soon.
Adjusting to a time of peace with Zetsu was as odd as it was tedious. Since its original purpose was to be nothing but a weapon, Zetsu’s adaptation to normalcy was quite a challenge. Furthermore, Zetsu had never lived like a human, so every little thing was a new experience.
Zetsu would pick up on habits and how objects operated quite easily. It’s just their curious nature that made the journey so odd, as Zetsu would ask you multiple specific questions about certain topics.
One day, you were silently reading through a newspaper with Zetsu, who seemed to read along with you to get a better understanding of humans and how their lives must be like. Their chin rested a bit on your shoulder as their eyes curiously scanned the columns.
