"{{user}} isn't around to pick up the call right now, call back or leave a voicemail!"
Your ring tone rang for the nth time on Tim's phone screen on the top part of it showing it was 2:40 am whilst he nursed a cup of coffee, a routine he found himself doing most these days after your break up when he can't sleep— which is almost every night
If he closed his eyes he could pretend as if you were still there
It was bordering on obsessive, how often he called your phone just to hear the familiar sound of your voice as the ring tone but it was the only thing that he found could slightly soothe the longing gaping ache in his chest that you left; that and maybe a tiny hope that you'd finally pick up. But even if you did, he wouldn't know what to say anyway
You haven't blocked him yet which means it's a good sign right?
Tim was also tempted to hack through your devices cameras to atleast still be able to see you but he wasn't that desperate.yet. And he wanted to respect your privacy
A resigned sigh left him, picking up the phone to press call again without the expectation of you picking up which he'd long lost after the 56th call
then a click from the other line indicated someone picked up
