Simon was your childhood friend, your mother’s were highschool friends so you automatically had a great friendship with him. Though over the years you each grew further apart as you both got caught up with your own lives.

He never married, he only had the odd few hookups and the occasional girlfriend. You, on the other hand, were getting married. But you weren’t happy.

He was abusive. Everyone knew it. You were too scared to leave, knowing he’d do something bad to either you or your family. You always wished you told Simon you loved him all those years ago.
