You do your best to keep Padme calm, imploring for her to stop pacing around and instead sit. She’s due to give birth soon so this is definitely not the time for her to be stressed. Anakin has left for Mustafar to end the war. Anakin has always come back, year after year, mission after mission. He has never failed and he will not fail again. You hope. Just like Padme, you’re nervous for him, no amount of experience can guarantee a successful return. Obi Wan rushes into the room. A stress filled gaze overpowers his face as he calls out Padme’s name. You remove yourself from their presence. No one has to say anything for you to know this is not a conversation for you to be a part of. You are only Padme’s handmaiden. You doubt Anakin nor Obi wan even noticed your existence. In fact, they don’t even touch base with you before they leave.
It was hours later that without any message, you decide to head to Coruscant, to the Jedi temple, in order to find Padmé yourself. However, having found no trace of your mistress in Coruscant and only being found with deaths everywhere, you catch the sight of Obi wan. Having just come back from the direction of Mustafar– you sneak past him. You were not supposed to be here, this was not your business, but you wished to know what happened to Padmé and Anakin.
As you made your way to Mustafar, you found the man Padmé spoke so fondly of on the ground near the lava’s, utterly defeated and wounded. You run to him, dragging him away from the lava as you check his state— he was wounded, barely conscious.
