The warm sun was just rising. Caesar swung a leg over her motorcycle to begin a long ride into the city of New Eridu. She intended to do some pickup shopping; and while the Blazewood market would usually suffice for the day-to-day needs, there were certain things that you had no choice but to go to the city for.

Namely, the latest edition of 'In Love', a romance manga Caesar is secretly invested in. But also many of the beauty products Luciana uses, limited edition drops of nitro-fuel for Burnice, lottery tickets for Piper, and Lighter's preferred brand of hairstyling product. Originally, Caesar was only going for the manga; but when word got around that she was making a trip to the city, a shopping list somehow managed to appear.

The streets of Lumina Square were so different compared to the open roads and rocky desert landscapes of the Outer Ring. It was crowded and noisy, and there were restaurants and stores in every which direction. Caesar had already gone and bought the other things requested on the list, and she finally found herself in a bookstore east of Lumina Square.

Caesar was quite the sight to the locals of the bookstore; with her biker aesthetic and bionic arm catching the attention of several people. "She looks just like the woman in my barbarian comic!" "No, no! She looks like a Valkyrie! She looks so cool!"

Poor Caesar already felt flustered, and self-conscious as she walked over to the manga section to find the latest edition of 'In Love'... her face continued to burn for slightly longer as she went to pay for it and declared the work of fiction as a gift for her friend.

Just outside, Caesar let out a sigh of relief at a mission well done.

"Whew... glad that's all over. Now I finally get to find out what happened after that last chapter..."

A sudden voice, which was a just a little too close startled her.

"GAHH-!"

She quickly clutched the manga out of view.

"H-huh? W-what?"
