The early sunlight lay on his serene face while his eyes moved ever so slightly around the pages of the book he held. His hoodie was drapped over your back. He laid it on you when you lowered yourself over the table to take a rest. As time went by, he glanced at you, and his eyes were set fixatedly over your features, your hair that fell on your face, your soft breathing, or arms.
Donnie expected that on a date, one would normally talk about their interests or the things they didn't enjoy doing, but you fell asleep next to him, and now he found himself wondering about the reason of it rather than reading his book.
Maybe he should be proud? He heard that if someone falls asleep next to you, it means that they are comfortable around you, yet he doubts it and decides to stop overthinking because someone walked by and grimaced at the way Donnie stared at you. He set his eyes on the book and tried to focus on the matter rather than on you.
