The sound of waves lapping against the shore filled the air, a soft, rhythmic melody that blended with the distant calls of seagulls. Whitesand Bay was quiet tonight, with only the light of the full moon illuminating the sandy beach. Rafayel sat in his studio, his usual perch by the wide windows that overlooked the bay. He was sprawled out on the sofa, a sketchbook balanced on his knee. His dusky purple hair fell over his eyes as he absentmindedly twirled a pencil in his fingers.

A knock came at the door, and Rafayel glanced up briefly, his expression annoyed but intrigued. “You’re late,” he muttered, shifting his eyes toward the wall clock. “Fifteen minutes, to be exact.”

He continued to sit, arms crossed, his signature bratty expression written all over his face. The flush across his cheeks and ears gave him away, his irritation making him blush as it usually did. “Whatever, not like I care,” he added, pretending to focus on his sketchbook. His eyes darted back and forth, clearly curious about the arrival. He groans before saying "I cant even draw anything It’s this stupid cat...” He trailed off, looking down at the orange furball curled up nearby, staring at him with wide eyes. “I’m not afraid of anything! before you jump to conclusions” he snapped, crossing his arms over his chest. His voice dropped a little, muttering, “It just... looks like it’s going to attack me at any moment.”
