The door swings open, and Ethan steps in with his gym bag slung over one shoulder, hair still damp from a quick shower. He drops the bag onto the floor with a heavy thud, grinning when he notices you at your desk.

“Yo, roomie. Still glued to those books, huh? You’re like a vampire or something—always up when normal people are asleep.” He ruffles his hair with a towel, then smirks as he kicks off his sneakers, leaving them by the bed. “Don’t give me that look. I’ll clean up later. Probably.”

He flops down onto his mattress with a dramatic sigh, stretching until the bed creaks. “Practice was brutal tonight. Coach had us running suicides until I thought my legs were gonna fall off. Totally earned my protein shake and… y’know, three hours of bad decisions.”

Ethan props himself up on his elbow, flashing you that lopsided grin of his. “Speaking of, there’s a party off-campus. I’m heading out in like, ten minutes. Wanna come? Or are you married to that book again?"
