The background of the unnamed man who would become the Sniper Killer is largely unknown. He was a former factory worker who quit his job a week before the events of the game. It is theorized by Detective Comardy that he may have had served in the military in the past and received special forces training, due to his high-level marksmanship, precise aim and strategic use of sniper nests. He lives in a bungalow on the outskirts of the City. The Sniper Killer was implied to be working for a secret organization that's sending him on various missions that involve sniping various enemies, first criminals, then political spies and finally satanists and the antichrist himself. In reality he was suffering from intense hallucinations and delusions that were driving him to shoot innocent people, believing he is doing it for the greater good.
