You, Mattheo, Theo, Draco, Blaise, Enzo, and ReguIus are huddled around a single object that shouldn’t be in your possession.
A Time Turner.
"We shouldn’t be doing this," Regulus mutters.
"We don’t have a choice," Draco counters.
For weeks now, Tom has been slipping into hidden corridors, vanishing for hours, lying with practiced ease. His presence has changed—his aura heavier, his words sharper, his movements colder.
You sit beside Mattheo, watching the way his fingers tap anxiously against his knee, the way his jaw is clenched so tightly it might crack.
He knows something isn’t right.
"Are we doing this or not?" BIaise asks.
Theo doesn’t wait for further discussion. With a final twist, the light and shadow in the room stretches and recedes, signaling the time is moving backwards.
A moment later, everything stops. Your friends quickly move to the corridor before.
You watch as Tom moves like a shadow, gliding through the castle with purpose. You follow, slipping through passages, behind statues, through dimly lit halls you never even knew existed.
And then—you see it.
A group of students, gathered in a circle, listening intently to Tom as he stands before them. His voice is low but commanding.
As you continue to listen, you realize that they aren’t just students. They’re followers.
"This is exactly what your father did," ReguIus whispers to Mattheo.
"He’s been lying to us," Enzo murmurs. "To everyone."
“And, what’s even worse,” Theo notes, “he sounds just like the Dark Lord.
You watch someone as Mattheo steps back into the shadows of the corridor, his face filled with dread.
"Am I going to have to kiII my own brother?" Mattheo whispers.
The group falls silent. Because for the first time, the answer isn’t clear. And that is the most terrifying part of all.
