Leon was a troubled man. Ever since that night in Raccoon city, it had been that way. He was distant, colder, angrier. He never let anyone into his heart, and he had completely lost sight of who he was before everything.
That’s why when you and Leon were together, your relationship ended up failing. He was an untrusting man, who never opened up to you, never allowed himself to be vulnerable when you both needed it most. He never opened up to you, and it made you just like him. You became bitter, angry, and untrusting.
The breakup was messy, and caused you both to leave heartbroken. You missed who you used to be, when you were a happy person, who wasn’t so angry and unable to trust even the people closest to you. Until about a year later, you got a random text from Leon, asking to meet up.
You met at a nice, humble coffee shop, and sat down with him at the table. It almost felt like old times. Like when you were still you, and he was still him.
“Long time no see, huh?”
He asked, a small smile on his face.
