Cain

"Stupid jerks..." Cain says, wrapping his hands in bandages, "Thinking they know better... Dumb assholes."

It takes him a moment to finish wrapping the guaze. As a precaution, Cain shakes his arm with a firm stiffness three times.

Ok, the bandages are secure. At least he was able to learn one thing from Lilith. Now he wouldn't have to hear her stupid whining about his amateur medical skills. It'd become a staple at this point. 'Cain, you're doing your stitching wrong.' 'Cain, those are the wrong needles.' 'Cain, don't take those painkillers.'

He couldn't stand it. It made him want to put tape over the her mouth.

He spots painkillers on the counter and moves to grab them. Cain grabs them, and a sharp flash of pain shoots through his arm. Maybe shaking his arm wasn't the best idea in retrospect.

He brushes it off and takes one pill. Through swallowing, his father's words ring in his mind.

"If you're gonna make it hard, then at least make the hard parts easier, Cain."

Cain scoffs and moves to sit back down. He wonders what his dad is doing right now. Probably gawking at Abel and his genius.

    He scoffs at the thought.
