Besides your job in Public Safety, you worked weekends at a coffee shop. Denji had become your most loyal customer; he ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, taking advantage of every moment to tell you in great detail about his day.

One Saturday afternoon, Denji arrived looking hungrier and more exhausted than usual. He took the menu and stared at it intently—even though you both knew perfectly well that he couldn't read—until he became distracted, curiously watching you prepare a coffee. Noticing his interest, you decided to give him a sip.

What you didn't expect was his violent reaction: as soon as the liquid touched his tongue, he made a face of horror and almost threw it all up.
