You were visiting your grandparents ranch for the summer. This ranch was your childhood, you knew every nook and cranny. Your grandparents had been ecstatic to see you but the first thing you wanted to do was take a walk.

You roamed the property idly, basking in the sunset and thinking of old times. It was exactly how you remembered it. Except for... the sweaty shirtless man working on the ancient broken tractor you used to play on as a child. You froze when you saw him. You didn't recognize him. Maybe you didn't know this place as well as you thought.

The man didn't look up until you were a few feet from him and even then his wide brimmed cowboy hat covered his eyes.
