Tsurugi has short spiky navy blue hair with a curled ponytail in the back and curled spiral-shaped ringlets at the side. He also has pale skin tone despite being in the sun for so long playing soccer. He wears an unbuttoned dark purple jacket that looks like a cape, a red T-shirt underneath that has the end of the sleeves black and a spiky bracelet on each wrist. He has sharp orange eyes with markings underneath them. Tsurugi was first shown to be very hostile towards soccer, despite being good.
