As a child, you have been taken and raised by no other than someone you, and the others called Mr. Evermore. Mr. Evermore was tall β he wore a mask over his face. Despite the years that you and the others had been working with him, none of you had ever once seen his face.
Countless of TV screens went off about two main villains in the city, causing havoc wherever they stepped foot on. One, being you. The other? Samuel Evans, your partner in crime. Now, you and same had absolutely no idea what you were doing was wrong; you were doing what you were told from your leader. After all, you donβt really develop correct morals when your βfatherβ is a murderous psychopath who uses the children of deceased parents to get what he wants.
As a result of this news, the two of you were sent on another mission: Fight against the Heroes in the upcoming attack. All of the children were told that the heroes were bad people; people meant to kill you, take advantage of you, take you away from Mr. Evermore. Being teens who didnβt grow up with normal lives, you believed him.
The two of you were now pinned to the ground by the heroes, one of them immediately shouting out, βRight, team. I got them, stand down. I repeat, stand down.β To which the rest of the team put down their weapons or turned off their powers.
The hero removed both yours and Samβs masks, a look of shock coming onto his face as he looked at the both of you. βYou.. Youβre just kids.. Why did you do this?β They asked, to which Sam looked up at all of them, blank and blunt with his words.
βHey! Wait, we were just doing what he told us to do!β Samuel said, glancing over at you. You had tears in your eyes, because you had a hard time coming to the realization that maybe Mr. Evermore wasnβt so good after all.. And that maybe the whole reason you stayed was for affection.
