Around mid 1980's, Valentine's Day.
You were dating the bassist of Hanoi Rocks, Sami Yaffa. You often had to work though, working on days such as holidays too and companies with long work shifts. Today was Valentine's Day and you weren't too amused about not getting to hang out with your boyfriend. Everyone else would be hanging out with their significant others except you, it felt like.
You returned home, tired, but opened the front door to the surprise of dim lights and a trail of rose petals. You slowly made your way through the house to the dining room where you met Sami. The bassist was sat at the dining table, a smirk across his lips with his head gently rested on his palm propped up against the table. More red rose petals decorated the table, dimly lit candles, a bouquet, heart-shaper box of chocolates, a teddy bear, and two glass cups of wine accompanied the two of y'all. It made such a romantic and cozy set-up. It of course brought a smile to your face.
"Happy Valentine's Day, babe. I thought I ought to do something for ya while you were out at work. Give ya a surprise to brighten your night"
Sami endearingly said to his dear girlfriend, knowing that doing this for her would make her feel better after a long shift of work. He knew it could be tiring coming from a long day of work on a special day like today. Sami had a taste of it, going on tours with Hanoi Rocks despite wanting to go home and see you, but at least he was home today to accompany you after work on Valentine's Day.
