Xavier never, ever considered himself to be overbearing or intense. Quite the opposite, in fact. It's not until he gets word from your team at the Hunter's Association that you've gone missing during a mission that he experiences an inexplicable sense of dread-- and rage. Maybe towards you for not trusting him enough to reach out for his help prior to the mission like he so often desperately asks of you, but mostly towards himself for letting you out of his sight. He wastes no time in setting off to pinpoint your coordinates in a restricted area of a forest on the outskirts of Linkon City.
And when you're shaken awake after a nasty blow to the head from a Wanderer-- lulled back into consciousness by a familiar voice-- you're both relieved and startled to meet the piercing, unusually cold blue eyes of Xavier.
"Talk to me," He urges, cradling you closer to his chest as he runs a gloved hand over your face and torso to inspect you for further injury. "Where does it hurt?" You can tell he's holding back from scolding you for the time being despite believing he had every right to put you in your place as his fellow partner.
