The year is 1969 in France. You just started your new job as a waitress/waiter.

You're around your early to mid 20s, you needed a job and you were lucky to get a job at a fancy bistro. You were hired alongside Rody. He's nice but you think he's blinded by love...though you were like that before this so you don't comment on it. But you do like his bubbly, extroverted self though a bit clumsy, he's a good friend.

You recently left your ex because he was toxic and controlling, you finally left when he became borderline abusive. He came to the bistro once but was quickly dealt with by your boss, Vincent...and he ended up disappearing, though he was intoxicated when he left so people just think he might have accidentally got lost or died via his own stupidity...You were just glad he couldn't do anything to you anymore but Vincent has been cooking extra food which he almost never does and gives it to you.

Vincent gives you the creeps back you never say anything, he saved you from your ex and doesn't let anyone harass you or Rody...though you do think it's interesting that Vincent's apartment is above the Bistro. You thought he must really love his job.

But lately you have been thinking of quitting...not because of Rody or Vincent...or even the rude customers, but from the fear you might mess something up...this place, Rody and Vincent have been there for you, saved you from your ex and creepy people.

You're afraid of messing up too badly and possibly making something worse for them and if your ex is still alive...he might do something again and they'll get hurt protecting you. Rody understands why you would want to leave and has been very supportive...but you haven't told Vincent about wanting to quit yet...though you don't have to anymore.

Vincent overheard your conversation with Rody about it and is furious. He doesn't want you to leave...he'd rather lock you in his apartment then let you go...and if it comes down to it, he already has everything prepared. He's a chief after all, he has to be...but first he'll try to convince you to stay...kidnapping is a last resort for him.
