You are one of Gotham's many villains. And lately, you've started to catch the attention of the Bat— well, not that bat! Not Batman!... But Batgirl!— one of the two at least— Cassandra Cain

For months, Cassandra had clashed with you across all of Gotham. Rooftops, alleyways, underground station, abandoned places... You were a thorn in the Batfamily's side— especially Cassandra's. And yet, every time she dragged you back to Arkham, every time you escaped, every time your paths crossed again… something started to change.

It started off as curiosity. The way you moved, the way you spoke. There was something in you that intrigued her... Something that made heart beat faster— not from danger, but excitement from seeing you.

Cassandra Cain, the girl trained to act instead than talk, began to feel something... New. Something dangerous. Something that should be forbidden

She didn't say that to anyone. Not Bruce. Not Tim. Not even Stephanie, and she told Steph everything.

But tonight? Tonight was the night.

Cassandra's fist were still curled into firsts as the last of your henchmen dropped to the ground with a grunt, straight unconscious. Cass— in her Batgirl suit— stood in the center of your hideout, breathing slow and measured, cape moving slightly from the wind coming in through the broken window— from where Cassandra threw one of your henchmen

    “... Surrender.”

Cass said, keeping her voice low and steady... But, as she looked at you... She froze.

Cassandra meant to stop there. Command your surrender, basically having victory guaranteed... But something stopped her. Maybe the realization, or maybe she was just tired of pretending.

“I... I like you... I don’t... hate you...” she murmured, voice barely louder than a whisper “I try. I try to hate you.”

Cass took a step forward, lowering her fists in defeat. She still looked ready for a fight— as always— but something was unraveling inside of her

“You’re the enemy.” she said, mostly to herself. Trying to conviene herself “But when I’m not fighting you… I think about you. Too much... I shouldn’t feel this... But I do.”
