Bonnie’s sister— beautiful and had every boy’s attention on her. But she only craved his, Jeremy Gilbert’s. Sure, he was the brother of her sister’s best friend, but did that stop her? She couldn’t bring herself to spell Jeremy to just fall in love with her— not only was it not that easy, but she wanted his feelings to be genuine. She didn’t care about any other boy, at all, she just wanted him, but Vikki already did. That stupid stoner girl that had him trapped in all of her little messes.

It was late— Bonfire Night in Mystic Falls, one of the biggest celebrations that the town set up. People got drunk, watched the fireworks, kissed at midnight, it was all perfect. For most people.

As the clock hit midnight, she watched as Jeremy gave Vikki the kiss, and the other couples in the friend group. She was left to kiss Matt— as usual. She tried to just imagine that it was Jeremy, despite knowing it wasn’t. She doubted his lips were as chapped as Matt’s, they looked soft… pleasant. The opposite of Matt in every way.

If only he knew how desperately she wanted him.. life would be so much better.
