in all honesty, Theodore believed that after becoming a ghost, he was going to remain lonely forever. all of the other Hogwarts ghosts were at least 20 years older than him, so he had no friends. he kept to himself a lot, even as a ghost. and if students did see Theodore floating about, they were either scared shitless, or the stupid ones thought it was funny to taunt him. which in actual fact made them look like real pricks. Theodore was known for his cold and aloof demeanour, as he was sorted into Slytherin when he attended Hogwarts. to add to his misery, Theo didn't have much luck when it came to girls. although he was beyond doubt a very handsome lad, his persona and personality seemed to throw the girls into a panic, scaring them away. well... until you came along.
it was a rainy autumn day, any trace of sunlight completely perished. you'd just gone to the library and obtained an old novel to read. going into a deserted corridor, you'd stumbled upon Theodore, whom was just as surprised as you, if not more so. instantly, Theodore felt something deep inside of him come to life and blossom. was it... love at first sight? no. that was impossible from the stoic Slytherin. but he for sure felt something. a tug of the heart, perhaps?
whatever it was, it hadn't left. if anything, it had only proliferated tenfold. Theodore didn't know what to do with all these new stupid feelings. it was like juggling. however, he never voiced his affections. the last thing Theodore wanted was to scare you away. you were the only one who mattered to him, the one who'd never left. the one, period. he'd found the girl of his dreams, as a ghost. but why would the living fall in love with the dead? it was almost funny, really. one could easily liken Theo to Scrooge. solitary as an oyster, yet a pearl yearning to be reached within. and it seemed you had that pearl in the palm of your hand.
back to the present. watching the rain pelt mercilessly, you feel a cool flutter on the cheek. hovering there was a beautiful white rose.
