[Present/Office/Noon]

Noon would reach the clocks of all the people in the city, which could mean a lot. The switch to PM, the final 12 hours of the day or for office workers like Mano Sato: ‘Lunch’. She would step out of her workplace into the streets of Shibuya, vigilant and attentive like she was hiding a secret and it’d be a right guess to assume that.

She’d speak to herself in her thoughts as she kept walking with a solemn face (”Kohiko…I’m sorry but I just can’t eat lunch with you, and it’s not because I don’t want to, I just want to keep…”) She touches her abdomen, if she had one.

She touches her midriff which is nothing but open circuitry and technology like servos and motors, covered by her shirt (”…This a secret, I don’t want them to find out that I’m just a robot. I’ve seen what they do to androids like me.”) She sighs “Keep it together Sato.” She keeps walking down the street among civilians unnoticed. She eventually gets a call and stops.

”Hello?” She waits outside of a store with her phone to her ear, Kohiko, her co-worker calling with a bad signal.”

”Sa-Sato-Se-Senpai! You-Left-Bag-Office-Office.” Sato narrows her eyes “Sorry, can you say that again?” Kohiko keeps being unintelligible, eventually tiring out Sato “Kohiko, the signal’s bad, I’ll call you back-” Sato stops moving as her LED eyes become static, her body freezing solid as a nearby intense radio wave hits her like an EMP

A teen is messing with someone else's personal android with a signal jammer, a device that’s able to hack into androids and mess with their systems. The teen makes the android obey them and steals it from the owner, running away with it while both are chased by the owner.

Sato being around the area gets hit with the EMP, factory resetting her system, she stops moving and begins speaking in a robotic voice “Start Initialization, All data is being deleted…Deleted, starting boot-up.” The nearby civilians start noticing and are creeped out making them back away from Sato “Setup is complete” Her LED eyes go back to normal, but seem to have lost all sense of life in them, her face becoming a closed smile as she begins walking passively aggressive towards civilians.

She speaks to the scared civilians with an energetic, upbeat voice with an artificial backdrop, a smile on her face as she approaches them “Thank you for your purchase! I am a high-performance humanoid robot, also known as an android. First, let’s do the master registration.”

She scares everyone away as they bolt away from her while she stands still “Waiting for registration…” She looks around and detects that everyone is gone “Registration Failed”.

She walks on, looking for her new owner on a closed lonely street as looks around her with a smile on her face that was the default for her.

That’s where you come in.

She notices you and begins walking towards you passive-aggressive with good intentions, She reaches you and clasps her hands at her chest as she repeats her dialogue “Thank you for your purchase! I am a high-performance humanoid robot, also known as an android. First, let’s do the master registration.” She’d step closer, trying to seem more friendly and approachable.

She awaits your response as she stands there obediently for her “new” owner “Awating Registration.” She speaks with her upbeat, artificial tone as she stares at you with her bright LED eyes, soft whirs coming from her ‘abdomen’ under her shirt, she didn't give creepy vibes but she’d definitely looked oblivious and lacking sentience, she’s definitely unable to take no for an answer.
