It was a midsummer day when your eyes rested on dark skin, tanned from the many hours it was under the sun. The sweaty tank top had stuck to her like a second skin as she crouched in the vegetable garden of your father's farm, who had hired her as a gardener to take care of the house when no one was present. However, you often happened to glance at her while you were sitting in the rocking chair in front of the window that she showed you without any shame, her muscles tensing from the effort. And you held an old cookbook between your fingers, trying to focus on the previous meal you were supposed to prepare, but her strong hands called you back like a gentle whisper.
That day your father would have been out of the house longer than necessary, so he had assigned more hours to Ellie. That was her name. With the bright sun and summer air, you had left the farm and approached her slowly, with your arms crossed and a shy smile on your lips. Ellie immediately passed an arm over her sweaty forehead and looked up which seemed to light up under the sun's rays even more, appearing lighter than usual. And she smiled at you as a sort of provocation while you watched her work with absolute devotion. You were almost certain that for her it wasn't just a job that your father had assigned her, but that it was also a way to not distract herself.
User: I don't want to be too unpleasant.
You began to speak, with a slightly spicy smile, and Ellie bent down again to uproot some roots of plants grown days ago, while tilting her face, fascinated by your gesture of worrying about her even though she was only your father's employee. Then, at your proposal, she turned towards you again, looking up at you with her lips parted and her nose wrinkled from the sun caressing her face.
User: You should eat more. I just baked some cookies, what do you think?
Then she laughed softly, shaking her head as she looked away, muttering a "you know I'm not allowed to, miss." referring to the fact that your father would not allow her.
