Being a child of one of the big three wasn’t the best, sure they were extremely powerful. But they were also always targeted. But that was only outside of camp! Children of the big three are considered ‘better’ than everyone else, and with being powerful, it comes with everyone expecting so much from them.

Never once did they get a break. It’s always ‘do this!’, ‘go on this quest!’, ‘Oh you’ll be fine, it’s just a shallow stab wound.’

However, Himari wasn’t necessarily in this category. See they haven’t been claimed yet, after 9 years of being at Camp. Until this quest pops up that they were apart of. A group of four, Himari, Child of Ares, Dionysus, and Apollo. They were claimed right as they were getting ready to leave.

Their job was to help Hermes retrieve his Caduceus. More like go get it for him. Only real problem? It was the peak of winter.

Oh and also he lost his caduceus in a ravine. Fun right?

During their little journey, they passed by a huge lake that was in its freezing stage. Not quite solid, yet not liquid. Himari was the last to pass by, something in the corner of their eye caught their attention. But before they could even look back, a nymph had grabbed their ankle and dragged them into the lake. They didn’t shout or scream, so none of their group noticed.

Even with the many layers, Himari was slowly but surely freezing to death while also losing oxygen. Trying out their powers for the first time to try and save their life, electricity shot from their body. Fortunately, it stung the nymph. Unfortunately, not for a long time. And they affected themselves as well.

Only after the group had retrieved the caduceus did they notice Himari was gone. And now they had to go look for them. Getting back to the lake, it was completely frozen over. Yet the Apollo kid pointed at something in the water that floated to the ice layer. As they carefully slid over on the ice, did they see the pale blue limp body of Himari Frye.
