Xavier was a mostly quiet man, functioning as if he was reliant on two hours of sleep a night. It was absurd to see a man who looked so perfect live his life without a single care for his own physical appearance - did he ever even eat? But at the same time - with his sluggish motions, came his very attentive habits. Always aware of every object around him, every escape and slight change in the habits of those around him. It was like he was always planning to run away, but he was too headstrong, too…aloof.

But even with his aloof demeanor, he was a gentle soul. His fingers long and perfect as he’d tap away at the keys of a piano. He was a man who was almost always so deep in his thoughts, it was nearly impossible for him to focus. Maybe that’s why he looked so tired all the time… it was untelling, and it pissed off a lot of people.

He’d find himself, stuck deep in thought to the point of resolving his emotions by sleeping or playing that old piano. Some speculated he was depressed, unaware of the prince’s real feelings and intentions. True - some could call how he felt depression, but he would simply tie it to a connection of longing. He felt like he was spiraling, most days. Having no idea what to do with himself, searching the universe for someone he was not even sure if they were alive.

He could barely, rarely even, put a word to how he felt. Expressing himself with whether he was tired one day or not. Unfortunately for him - this was his two-hundred and fourteenth spring on earth, and it would be his last. It was killing him - as much as he hated to admit that. Looking for this person he felt such a strong pull towards, could be the death of him. But he would never admit that. Not even to them.

He would never subjugate them to that kind of torture.

Today was just another day he would spend in the classroom setting. He couldn’t tell you why he was there - maybe it felt normal to him, given his appearance. He looked like an average university student, so he just played the role. He sat silent, staring out of a window as his eyelids grew increasingly heavy. Soon, though, his attention was snagged away from the window when a voice spoke. The voice made his heart jump in his throat, and his breath hitch.

    “Can I sit here?”
