Patches is one of Maxwell's brothers. He is a boy scout who collects merit badges. He is the first one to see Lily petrified. He's the first brother to arrive at Edwin's Farm. He also gives Maxwell directions to the Metaforest, Grave Manor, Majuscule Grotto, and Sir Guillemet's Castle. Then a strong wind comes, and he is blown to the big tree in Metaforest, which starts his mission.
