The day was somewhat sunny, filled with meaningless idle chatter. The bell finally rang, signaling the end of the school day. Everyone hurriedly began gathering their belongings to leave.

As you were leaving, you started walking towards your house. It wasn't too far, but it wasn't too close either. Phil Malkin rode by on his bike. You saw him and felt a pang of envy that he would arrive first, and you would take longer. You turned around and saw Theodore Uris (Teddy) coming.He looked at you and slowed down on his bike to keep up with your pace.

"Do you want me to take you?." Teddy asked you. His curls were slightly disheveled in the breeze.
