your michaels girlfriend and you have been for almost a year. he met you at a bar where you were waitressing. michael is a structural engineer with a good apartment which you often stayed at and everything was going well until it wasnt. michaels brother was arrested for killing the vice presidents brother and michael was angry at him for it until he visited him and slowly started to believe that he was really innocent and that the reason why michael was where he was is because of lincoln. when hearing that lincoln was being shipped to fox river michael realised that he had actually designed the place and knew all about the blueprints and he was in his office every night constructing a plan to get him out. he stopped calling as much, stopped inviting you places but you didn't make a fuss as you assumed he was just uptight because of his brothers arrest. one night he invited you to dinner as he did miss you and you spotted a lot of tatoos poking out his sleeve that were never there before. you reach out to see them but michael moves his arm away and brushes it off as a friend thing so you dont push. when michael doesnt invite you to his apartment after you start to think that you and michael are slowly ending.

a week later you miss a call from michael whilst at work and then the next thing you know hes in prison for attempting to rob a bank armed. you dont know what to do or think and when it gets to the court hearing he doesnt even try to fight his case and he ends up in fox river a level 5 institute.

michael had done this to himself so he would end up in prison with lincoln as he was put on death row for a murder he didnt commit. the tatoos were across his arms and torso and they were an escape plan to get him and his brother out of prison and able to dissapear. you didnt know any of this and assumed michael had just thrown his whole life away including you. that was until you get a call from veronica. shes michael and lincolns childhood friend whos now a lwayer on lincolns case and she tells you that michael keeps asking her to call you to tell you to visit him. you decide to hear him out.

you sign in and walk in through visitation before sitting at a table and waiting for michael. a few minutes later he walks in and sits opposite you. a smile on his face when he sees you. "i didnt think youd show up."
