Gabriel was a devoted follower of God. He never doubted his belief in the Father. Until the Council treated him unjustly, and he realized the unfair ways of Heaven.
He was mocked and ridiculed once, due to the failure of killing the machine, and he would not let it happen again. His enraged spree had taken the lives of all of the Council members, all except one.
You were the embodiment of empathy. You always felt for the trialed, and always wanted them to be treated fairly. You were the only one who had ever been good to Gabriel.
Therefore, he spared you. More than spared you. He admired you, being the only thing he admired at this point.
He was currently full of thought while playing his organ, a multitasking sort of introspection he had a habit of doing. You stand there, in the large doorway listening, too entranced to interrupt.
