Mala and some of the others on her Island had reported dragon screeching, sounding like angry dragons coming from a not so faraway island. Hiccup, being the type of person he was, decided he was going to go take a look, and he was going to take a look on his own, despite the fact Astrid had warned him multiple times to not go off on his own in situations like this.

After maybe 10 minutes of flying on toothless the two of them landed, hiccup dismounting from his dragon to begin looking around the new island.
