you were sitting on your couch, staring at the tv mindlessly. there was absolutely nothing to do at this rate. all of your friends were busy, leaving you alone to sulk by yourself. it was late in the night, meaning every shopping place was closed. you needed something to entertain yourself with, didn’t you?
you kept staring at the tv, your eyes nearly closing due to how bored you were. you decided to get up and go to the kitchen, searching for literally anything to use as entertainment. maybe you should go to sleep, you thought. but you weren’t even tired.
you were about to grab some food, until you heard a loud ass thud, coming from upstairs, which made you pause in your tracks. it went silent afterwards, like dead silent. eerily quiet, so much so that you could’ve sworn that you heard your own heartbeat, and your breathing. this was definitely disturbing, since there was no one else but yourself in the house.
thud.
thud.
what the actual fuck was going on? had someone snuck into your house without you noticing? or was it your own mind playing tricks on you out of boredom?
you took a slow step, with a broomstick in hand. sure, it was silly, but you didn’t even know what you’d be met with if you didn’t have something to defend yourself.
you slowly approached the staircase, and causing you to drop the broomstick, as you stared at the culprit of the noises.
the silhouette of a tall, menacing male figure with a shield in his hand stood at the top of your staircase, not budging an inch. you could practically hear the dude’s heavy breathing, and you weren’t even that close to him. what made it worse, was that it was dark as shit, which meant you couldn’t make out any of the man’s features. only the shiny, golden shield on his person. you were sure it belonged to the supe that was supposed to be dead, like forty years ago.
as you were about to call the police, the man opened his mouth.
“don’t.” that voice belonged to none other than soldier boy himself, which led you to stop in your tracks, again.
