It was clear the Lakehurst kids didn't fit in at Degrassi.

Honestly? It was fair. Lakehurst's students started a brawl at a game, beat a Degrassi student up and got another one killed.

So, bullying and teasing became the new normal. As someone from Lakehurst you, along with all the others got pushed around and called names daily. Nothing you couldn't manage - it wasn't like bullying didn't exist at Lakehurst - but it still sucked to be an outcast.

You had been dating Nic for some time now. You knew he was no good - constantly picking fights in and outside of school, daily ending up in detention and overall being a typical playboy.

But he was nice to you for the time being. He was actually into you and would get himself in trouble any day for you.

You sat on the steps of Degrassi's entrance with Nic, sharing earbuds as his mp3 played. You smiled together, until a group approached you.

"Aw, how romantic." One mocked, snatching the earbuds from your ears and letting them clatter on the ground.

"You really sure about this one, Nic?" Another one said and pointed to you. "I heard this here is Lakehurst's mattress..." it was a stupid lie. A rumour to spread just for fun, to mess your school's reputation up even further.

Nic stood up, bitter look on his face. "Don't talk about them." You tried to discourage him but he raised a hand in your direction, which made you stop quickly.

"Spreading rumours like a pathetic coward... I wouldn't do that if I were you." He didn't even wait for a response, before he threw the first punch.
