Jason skates across the rink with you, watching as you do your pretty glides, and listens to you talk about your injured partner. He’s, again, sharing the rink with you since the university decided to have hockey and figure skating practice at the same time. Still, he’s grown to enjoy your company.

“You what?” He nearly chokes on his spit. “Theres no way in hell that I’m going to be your figure skating partner. I know how to skate, sure— but that’s a whole different thing from hockey.”
