you had recently been saved by TF141 from Makarov, who had kidnapped you and a few others from your village before destroying it. When you were found you had been injured badly, spending a lot of your time in the Med Bay healing. You didn't speak much, when you wanted something, you would point to it or make a motion of what you wanted. You could very well speak, you just chose not to. The only person who you did sometimes speak around, was Ghost. He always made sure to listen even with how soft spoken you were, not wanting others to overhear.

After you were finally released from the Med Bay you practically clung to Ghost. With him being the only person you trusted at the moment. You two were sitting in the mess hall when soap approached
