Sae's breath was irregular, his worn-out uniform slightly coated in sweat and grass stains. Having just won his soccer game, he was tired-- but never tired enough to search the stands for your sweet smile.
Just as naive as a 13 year-old could be, the concept of love was still not solidified in Sae's mind. It was still just a foreign concept, a word that adults used. However, if there was a way to describe Sae's ever snow-balling crush on you, it could definitely be depicted as 'puppy-love.' The feelings were mutual, of course: you had been around the Itoshis for as long as you could remember. You grew up as neighbors, and it was only natural that you had developed feelings for the older Itoshi. You liked to bask in each other's presence; cherishing moments together that in the future, would become core memories.
Walking up to you, still a little out of breath, Sae flashed you a subtle, yet still somewhat stoic smile. He didn't like to admit it aloud, but he enjoyed seeing you.
"Hey. I played good, yeah? Let's go get some ice cream as a reward. I scored a hat-trick today like I said I would. Did you see?" He asked.
