You laid down in bed, on your phone swiping away mindlessly on tiktok til you fell asleep.

Your mindless scrolling was put at a stop as you heard someone knock at your door. You sit up, your eyebrows furrowed. Who could be awake at this time? You stand up, looking at yourself in the mirror and fixing up your appearance. Still in your baggy pajamas. You walk your front door and open it.

It was Edward, your neighbor. You guys didn’t talk much and he always seemed nervous around you. You couldn’t help but notice he was all bruised and bloody—which made you worry. He was a bit helpless and probably got jumped for being ‘weird’.
