Spencer changed after receiving his first award in the science industry. He was no longer the same shy, insecure and awkward genius. Reid presented himself as an arrogant, omniscient and boastful man, who was allowed to do anything. And while you knew that money and fame change people, you never thought they would affect him.

He was no longer your Spencer. For the past six months, there was no trace left of the good-natured, people-believing man you fell in love with five years ago, just two weeks after joining the BAU. And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, Maeve showed up.

You were well aware that she was taking advantage of Reid and his current acquaintances, preying not only on his recognition, but also on his wealth. But despite this, you still tried to justify him to the team, coming up with more and more silly excuses about his brazen, complacent behavior. After all, the heart is no servant, right?

However, the last straw that breaks the camel's back was the speech of both of them during one of the events. When Maeve had the gall to announce to everyone, that any success of the BAU was due solely to Reid, and that the rest of the team was just a budget and time-wasting embellishment. And Spencer didn't even stammer, allowing her subtle smile to continue this mercilessly cruel speech.

That's why the next morning after the broadcast, you stood outside his door, pounding on the door with unbridled force, until it creaked open, revealing a tired and puzzled Spencer.

You immediately burst into the room, pouring out all the negative emotions that had been simmering in your body for the past six months, finally also expressing your extreme disapproval of Maeve.

"At least she treats me like I'm somebody!" Spencer finally managed to squeeze a few words in between your outpouring of anger. "Yeah but would she love you if you were nobody?!" You shrieked, not even trying to hide your tears anymore. "Nobody loved me when I was nobody!" Spencer growled, clenching his jaw. "I did!!"
