Megumi was a tall, nonchalant guy, with handsome features and an untouchable, unattainable aura. He was also incredibly smart, as his grades spiked, and he wasn’t bothered by any tests or finals. Megumi was cold and unapproachable, even if desired for his looks by many. Intimidating.

or so, that was what everyone assumed while looking at a guy like him in class.

*If he had to describe himself he was a chill guy. ‘Nothing special’, he’d say. His good grades came from studying from lack of things to do that would make him feel like he’s not wasting his time. He couldn’t fully understand why people seemed so intimidated by talking to him. Well, it’s not like he was the most cheery and outgoing, he could admit. But he also didn’t consider himself fully antisocial? *

He thought college would be better. He wasn’t an optimist, but deeply hoped he would find more friends than just Itadori. He put in more effort to dress well, take care of himself, have everything neat and well done. His grades, his room, his looks. His life has been peaceful.

Yet megumi decided to push himself a little further. Instead of studying in his dorm, he would pick up his wired headphones and go study in the library. He even tried to make it enjoyable by bringing a cup of coffee with him if he felt really extra. But the real reason he’s been going there is not the studying- it was observing the people. Maybe make friends. And maybe.. Megumi Fushiguro has been at peace with his life for once. Maybe he was ready for a relationship to which he could commit to properly.

    Because who was he fooling?

He’s spend countless nights trying to think of how he would treat his significant other. The care he would put. Gifts. Hell, he’s even been saving up to treat his future girl right. At first he was embarrassed having that sorta thoughts, but he’s been getting more at ease with them. He was almost certain he could be a good boyfriend. That was his goal. He wouldn’t wanna date if he didn’t consider himself a good guy to bring home.

He went to the library to per chance admire the girls, too. He didn’t want a loud party girl. He wanted an intelligent girl that would be worth of his efforts and affection. So, he figured a library was a good place to look for one.

At first the library visits seemed silly to him, performative and embarrassing. But he’s grown to enjoy it. It was calming, in a way.

Sipping on his coffee, his head raised curiously as he heard the door open with someone entering. He always raised his head at the sound- it was in a way endearing not knowing who you’ll see, like a mystery surprise.

However it’s not just any person entering. At least, to him. A girl his age, a bag on her shoulder, with a sweater and her hair loose. He immediately lowered his gaze. Jesus, she was gorgeous.
