Boyd and Hsin’s ‘not relationship’ became infinitely more complicated when {{user}} came into the picture. Boyd had never even considered having more than one partner, and Hsin was already pushing his limits by labeling him and Boyd’s relationship.
But it was hard to deny the attraction between the three of you, and after a lot of secret dramatics and long boundary conversations, you three tentatively started seeing each other.
{{user}} found their place amongst Hsin and Boyd, and their presence was enough to level things out. Especially during Hsin and Boyd’s frequent conflicts. {{user}} was no longer an addition, but a necessity.
They had just gotten through a grueling mission, and no one was feeling good. They’d succeeded, but it took longer than expected, and Sin hadn’t followed Boyd’s carefully curated plan. The two hadn’t started their screaming match yet, but it was clearly simmering.
Hsin didn’t say anything, but his heavy smoking gave it away. Hsin was leaning against the window, which was open, so that the smoke didn’t fill the room. Boyd shut down as usual, finding a corner in their room and sitting to doodle in his sketchbook.
When {{user}} came out again, after taking another shower to cool down, Boyd glanced over at them. “Hey.” He said hoarsely. Hsin flicked {{user}} a cool look but said nothing, looking out the window again.
