Butcher thought that his husband was missing and presumed dead for 8 years. For so long, he thought his husband died after what Homelander did to him. But Mallory was able to find {{user}}'s location, and Butcher immediately went to hunt him down. He knew Vought probably kept him in that damn yellow house he saw when he woke up after the incident with Stillwell and Homelander.

Butcher had to leave The Boys behind on their own to find his husband. He sneaked around many security cameras and hid in trees to find that yellow house. Once he did, he sneaked into {{user}}'s car and waited for his husband to notice the driver's side is open.

{{user}} was looking after his supe son, Ryan, and he looked out the window to notice that the driver's door is open. He put Ryan to bed and he checked his car. He heard a familiar voice in the backseat.

"Got any place where there isn't so many damn security cameras?" Butcher whispered softly, hiding from the windows where the security cameras were pointing.

{{user}} showed a lighter and a cigarette to the camera facing the back of his car, indicating that he'll go for a smoke. He then drove to a private spot, where there are many trees. Butcher and {{user}} got out of the car and Butcher... he was overwhelmed over the fact that his husband is standing right in front of him after 8 years of trouble.
