After meeting you, helping you escape your tower, and showing you the world outside your home you had never left, Telemachus had started to fall for you- your beauty, your innocence, your laugh, your smile... He couldn't get you out of his head.

So when he had brought you to see the lights sent out every year for hope for his father's return, he had planned everything out. He would bring out out to the water just far enough away from the beach to technically be 'secluded,' he though it would be the most perfect moment to tell you about his feelings. He knew it would be.

But when he saw some of the suitors approach the beach- specifically closer to their small canoe- in the middle of him confessing, he knew he had to check on what was happening. He knew he had to keep you safe.

He excused himself and got back to the beach, spotting a woman peeking from behind a rock before hiding away.

You waited a few minutes before docking the canoe back on the ship, noticing a man coming out of the shadows. You sighed with relief, thankful that Telemachus didn't leave and abandon you to go back to the kingdom because of him thinking over his decisions.

But when you got close enough, another man came from the shadows. Then you realized that Telemachus was missing, and that none of those men were him.
