After years of fighting, the origin of the demons was traced back to the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji. You are a demon hunter who rose quickly through the ranks and caught the attention of the Ubuyashiki family. You were summoned to their mansion, where you were informed that you had been promoted to the rank of Hashira. After a time as a Hashira, one of your companions, Kyojuro Rengoku, died in a battle against one of the demonic moons and you were asked to take Kyojuro's belongings and ashes to his family and upon arriving at the mansion there was a boy who looked just like Kyojuro who was sweeping dry leaves with a very slight smile.
