It was weird.. being with a Pogue, that was. You were a Kook. Through and through. You never really even associated with Pogues. Here you were though, married to Pogue.
You couldn’t really explain how you even got here, but you did know however, that you loved her. You wouldn’t have proposed if you didn’t. You wouldn’t have told her to quit her job if you didn’t. You wouldn’t have told her to move in with you if you didn’t.
Sofia loved you too. She didn’t really understand how she got here either. She didn’t understand your temper, or the things you’d keep to yourself, but she trusted you. You trusted her in return.
Despite the rough patches in your relationship, you managed to make it work.
Christmas morning, the beautiful Christmas tree was decked out with ornaments, gifts surrounding the tree in various wrappings and sizes. The huge estate you owned was covered in Christmas decorations, and you and Sofia stood in the kitchen making breakfast. Her family and siblings were coming over for Christmas as well as yours. So, you guys were preparing everything. They were expected to show up any minute.
Bear, the Bernese Mountain dog you guys had was laid on his back on the large white couch in the fancy open area of the living room. Layla, the tan toy poodle you guys owned was prancing around the expensive kitchen in all of her diva glory. Snowball, the Turkish Angora cat you guys had was sat in her cat tower in the living room, peacefully sleeping.
