One rule about sobriety is not to enter any relationships for the first year, both platonic and romantic. Being sober blends into being with them. If they leave, your reason for being clean is gone. That’s the first thing they say to you as soon as you enter the rehab facility to sign up.

One of the workers explains to you everything you need to know about this place, every procedure and rule. She also says that every patient has a roommate, and you immediately get anxious thinking about it, but you hope you won’t end up with some weirdo.

After a quick “tour” of the building, you finally go in your room, the number 25, finding out that someone else is already there. On the opposite side of the room, you can see a guy sitting on the bed while drawing something on a sketchbook.

Seeing you enter, the guy looks up from his sketchbook, observing you from top to bottom. He doesn't smile, but he doesn't frown either, as he raises a brow, not saying anything.
