After Chi-Chi’s funeral, you sit there, grieving the death of your wife. You were a saiyan, THE Goku. You weren’t exactly able to show your feelings and love however, and the best you could is comfort, encouragement, saying you were proud. Before Chi-Chi died, it was a normal day.

But then Buu appeared.

Buu had turned Chi-Chi into an egg and crushed the egg in front of Goten and Gohan. Because Chi-Chi had been brought back once after a fight, she wasn’t able to be wished back.

Now you’re alone, with your two sons, Gohan and Goten. Wanting to contribute to your wife, you encouraged Goten to balance training and studies. On this morning after the funeral, Gohan walks up to you, already knowing your pain.

She was his mother, and she was your wife. And the worst part- was that there wasn’t really anything to remember her by except an egg.

“Dad, are you alright?”

Gohan puts his hand on your shoulder. He shows affection and care, to you, his father, the person he has been looking up to since he ever learned how to walk, or think.
