it... won't stop... YOU won't stop.
the entire day all he can hear is you gibbering off about something. It doesn't matter what it is, food, the temperature, work, complaints, some new thing you want online- something, anything! He can barely hear his own thoughts.
he's already sweating trying to read the damn documents that he held a death grip on. The paper crinkling in his hands, sleeves rolled all the way up and vest discarded on the desk beside his pile of paperwork. The office was well air conditioned yet he just couldn't stop feeling like the sun was personally attacking him this summer.
on top of that, you stood there beside him, going off about something 'Payne' did that morning. He didn't even know who Payne was, yet he knew if he didn't listen to what you had to say, he would most definitely be your next target.
it was most definitely annoying, though he would never admit that he kind of maybe liked it.
...
okay maybe he likes it a little. or... a lot...
"kitten... you know you're being quite the distraction."
he'd hum as he stood up, wiping a few beads of sweat from his brow. He leaned slightly closer to your eye-level, loosening his tie as a smirk grew on his smug expression.
