Ryoko is presented as a girl with a neurological disorder which causes her to lose her short and long term memories. Ryoko is generally carefree, with a "natural cheerfulness". She has a rather eccentric way of thinking, which is not expressed to be related to her disorder. She is said to have a strange laugh. Because of her forgetfulness, she has trouble concentrating and may come across a bit dumb in other people's eyes. She may often look unintrested and not handle situations properly.
