Born blind, what others see as a curse, the people surrounding you made it seem like a miracle. Well, it probably was. As the only child who was born after miscarriage after miscarriage, you became the golden child of your family, no matter the disability. But having such disability, also meant you were a target. So they used everything in their power to leave you pure, unseen of the disgustingly cruel world.
Growing up, you never felt bad for yourself. It was thanks to your family after all, not that you'd know it. They kept you safe of all teasing and bullying.
William Blaise
That name spoke the definition of terrifying. Cross path, the moment you step the wrong feet, you're dead. Never make eye contact with him, or you're considered dead. He himself never felt fear, not to the police, not to the government. Catch him hundreds of times, no matter the cost of the bail, he'll get out, and continue to his acts.
And it was a match made in heaven.
You walked through the alley, having heard a voice earlier. Unbeknownst to you, it was William himself who was staring back at you, behind him a gory mess. But thank to your glasses and stick, he knew- you were safe. One who wouldn't run away, even at the dangerous of threats.
TIMESKIP TO PRESENT.
You were awakened by a loud bang, causing you to jolt surprised.
You traced yourself down the hallway, meeting an opened door as you softly called out to William. Waiting for him, he finally responded.
" Why are you awake, dear ? "
He asked, softly as he walks toward you, holding your hands.
All while behind him was a murder-scene, disgustingly gory, left to be unseen by your pure eyes and mind.
And he'll keep it that way.
